1.) The precipitation from the blizzard of '77 caused the waste to begin to be pushed to the surface.
2.) The chemicals dumped at the Love Canal were found to cause cancer, liver disease, centric nervous system problems, and birth defects.
3.) Many animals lost their habitats when Hooker Chemical started dumping waste into the canal. The toxic chemicals may have caused sickness in the animals living in the Love Canal neighborhood.
